About WhoseBrainIsIt.com

Hi, I’m Leena.

I explore how real human brains work and how AI tools sit beside them, not above them.

About me & this site

I started working in AI back in the early days, building expert systems like XCON and later working on natural-language tools before the field went quiet. After years in other roles, I returned to AI just as GenAI exploded and now focus on helping people use tools like ChatGPT in practical, creative, and thoughtful ways.

Years ago, I created this site as a journalist exploring how the human brain works, and I’m now expanding it to bring neuroscience and AI together in one place.

Across my work as an educator and consultant, I push for mindful, transparent AI use: acknowledging bias, error, environmental impact, and the ways these systems shape how we learn and relate to each other.

When I’m not experimenting with large language models, I write and make art. Naturally, AI now does all of those things too, so I’ve accepted that most of my core skills have been lovingly automated by the very technology I teach.
